Call USCIS and ask to speak to a Tier two, and request an in-person appointment with the USCIS asap.You should contact your congressperson as well.

It depends which field office you have your case, sometimes can take even 2 years to set up an interview.

You can submit the N400 if you are a resident permanent for at least  3 years; and your husband is a U.S Citizen or  5 years if your spouse or ex spouse is a  green card holder.

Once they approve your waiver they will ship your file to your local office.

My vawa got approved in the beginning of October 2023, and last week I went to my local office (had an info pass) - I was sure my file was already in my local office but when I got there the officer told me that my files are still in Vermont, and that Vermont is the one asking me for medical or then if they think I will need an interview they will send to my local office - She seems like she really wanted to help, she went in and out her office couple of times to check but she was positive about my cause still in Vermont and not my local office

 

Does this make sense? I always though they transfer and then my local office is the one deciding if I need an interview or not.

 

She also mentioned that Vermont was already done doing my biometric and going to the next step (which I don't know what it is)

 

What do you guys think? Does it take that long (5 months+) to Vermont transfer the  files??

Once VAWA is approved they will ship the file to your local office.

i agreed what Sandra said. Also reach out to senator if your congress person is not helpful.

@Sandra G. Hello Sandra. I did receive my N400 interview notice based on VAWA. ON letter, it says any evidence of Selective Service Registration. I never signed up or registered for this because I was ineligible for registration. I came on F1 visa at age of 24 and my ex spouse filed for my marriage based GC when I was age 26 or 27. Yes i was out of status after our marriage. do you think it may cause any issue at interview?

@Sandra G. I requested for titer two but they wont allow mallthey asked me to write Vermont.  I already contacted my Congress person but she said she will have to wait for 3 months before she can make any enquiry about my case.

I believe there is a way to contact tier 2 person. Don't add your vawa case otherwise you will ask to write to Vermont. Select other options you may get titer 2 representative. this is what I used to do as well. I don't remember the process

It's takes times and rest depends on your field office and the work load they have. Mine got approved August 2023 and on March 2024 they approved I485. 

did they ask you for medical?

Congratulation , Mine is over 10 months since i360 approval and they have not even asked for medical yet, not only that they have not yet sent it to local office. This is really making me anxious.

God is good. I contacted my congressman yesterday morning and boom this morning they sent the details of my interview also they promise to send the letter to the right address as soon as possible.  Thank you all for your help, without God and vawa family I dont know what might have become of me. You all should remember me in prayer the interview will be on my birthday , I was surprise. Thank you all.
