where did you send your RFE medicals to?Β

A field office is the USCIS office, where you live. They adjudicate the I-485 applications. My I-360 approval was from Vermont, March 2023 , but I was told to send my RFE medical to NBC Β

Congratulations again! πŸ€—

Oh I am sorry I am not sure. I just gave the envelope to my lawyer and she takes it from there πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

God bless All. I have been a vawa survivor and am praying for all on this thread. With God’s help and help of this community I am sure good things are to come to you.Β
Β

I am about to have a naturalization interview. If anyone had it and got GC as a vawa survivor - what documents did you bring to the interview and what questions the officer asked you?Β

thank you so much

Despite of that I-485 got denied. You should have formally notified them to convert to VAWA via mail. The cleanest way is to file a new I-485 in my opinion.

Once denied the person can't Β ask to convert the case, the person has to file a new AOS.

Hi everyone, I hope all is well is you all.Β
So, I took the advice of some of you to make an infopass appt, to inquire about the status of my I-485..well, they say that they don’t have it and it’s still with the NBC. What in the world should my next step be? I really would have liked to go home this Christmas, it’s been 9 years .. I’m so sad. It feels like this is never going to happen. My lawyer says that it’s a pain to reach the NBC
Any advice? Or should I just go crawl into. Big hole :(Β I’m so tired. Thanks everyone!

THINK AHEAD...

The customer of the photo studio threw down the proofs in disgust.

The photographer rolled his eyes.

Β

"That may be, sir," he admitted. "But you should have thought of that before you had them taken."

What I was saying, the conversion should have happened formally. Because it didn't happen, the case was denied. I suggested converting it before it was denied.

AFAIK grounds for I-485 will be different, now that you're no longer married. I think a new I-485 filing may be required, with I-360.

Β

Just read instructions, you should have asked USCIS to convert I-485 within 30 days of filing for WAVA. Did you do that?

Hi everyone,

Β

So I checked my case status this morning.. inputting and refreshing the page, like I’ve been doing for years and it said β€œWe ordered your card” β€œCase approved” like what??? πŸ™πŸ½ I am still shocked and it hasn’t sunk in yet.. I guess when I get my papers from my lawyer and the actual card, I will be less shocked. I am so incredibly grateful πŸ™πŸ½ Β

Good luck to everyone who is still undergoing the process. If you have any questions, or just want to vent and need someone to listen, please reach out to me. You are not alone. I know what it’s like to be alone and scared. Glory to God πŸ™πŸ½β€οΈ
