My Petition has been approved, However I indicated on the petition  that the beneficiary intends to apply for an immigration visa abroad at a US Embassy or a US Consulate and will also apply for adjustment of status in the United States, Since I have indicate both option. USCIS has retained the petition. Has anyone had this same predicament?

Yes, there are a few people on the forums who have done the same thing. You'll have to submit a I-824 and wait for that to be processed unfortunately.

Good luck.

That was an unfortunate error on your part. You have to fill out one or the other , not both. As @appleblossom said, you will have to file and pay the fee for I-824 which will add about a year to the process.

Thank you for the replies. To whom should I sent the I-824 form?

Also @powerpuff, you mention I should had filed one or the other.  My parents are both in the Philippines. I live in WA state, which one should I have filed for? Any ideas? ty

Instructions for the I-824 are here - https://www.uscis.gov/i-824

And it's consular processing (immigrant visa at a consulate abroad).

Good luck.
