Hello all,

My k1 petition was approved and when i checked the visa status it shows that it's ready. This was done in August 24/ 2023. Ans we are at the end of March 2024 .

Since then we have not yet heard anything from the US embassy in morroco.

I am not sure if it's anormal waiting time or if anything went wrong. We sent multiple emails to the concerned emabssy but we received ONE. And it's said they will contact us when the file is on top of the queue .

The concerning thing is when i went on their website it said :  If it has been three to four months after DHS has approved your petition and your fiancée has still not received an instruction packet, you should contact the Consulate or the original DHS office where the petition was approved. You can contact the Immigrant Visa Unit at ivcasablanca@state.gov.

IS anyone going through the same process ? Can anyone tell if we need to anything beside contacting the embassy who answers when they feel like it.

Thank you All.

you are in queue and waiting time is lengthy

at this time the USC needs to make sure 2023 tax returns are filed and sends  IRS transcript for 2023 to moroccan beneficary

along with copy of a photo ID with US address to prove residency

Documents needed for interview are on following site:   prepare for these
