Well you are now in the 13th month. Unless they keep upping the processing time, I'd  say sometime in October.

It sucks, I know. I'm a December 2023 filer myself.

Wife's case updated in October 2023 from GC to citizen

Daughter's case update on June17th 2024 to citizen's daughter

@mjkhan how were you able to update your citizenship status and how do you know that it was done? My mom is needing to do the same.

Leg me explain in detail what I did.

In September I got my citizenship. I drafted a letter for both my wife and daughter separately informing uscis that I am a US citizen now and want to update my case status for both daughter and wife accordingly. I attached my certificate of naturalization with both letters and uploaded it on my online account. After this I called uscis and requested to update both cases. Within few days I received an email stating that my wife's case has been updated. I assumed that my daughter's case must also have been updated but I was wrong. After a few months just to check I called uscis again and asked for my daughter's case status and my suspicion was correct they never updated her case. I had to call for months then to get it sorted out about 3 months and then I talked to some tier 2 officer or something and he finally updated my daughter's case to citizen's daughter.

How to know if the case has been updated?

Two ways:

1.) Make sure you receive a confirmation email from them for case update.

2.) There is an app uscis case tracker. It gives very accurated and detailed movement of your uscis case. This app provides updates on your case as soon as something happens. I checked on this app and my dauhhter's case was updated.

3.) After above two steps call uscis and make tripple sure that the case has been updated by talking to an agent.

Best of luck.
