Best way to send papers to Philippines?

Just a quick update for anyone interested..

I took a cardboard 9" x 11" envelope from USPS for Global Express Guaranteed. Took it to the local post office at noon today (Tuesday Aug. 14th) It's guaranteed for delivery on Friday, August 17th (Wonder if that's Friday in Philippines, or Friday in USA). The envelope and contents weighed in at 14 ounces with about 40 pages of documents, 1/2 dozen pictures, and an envelope full of receipts/boarding passes.

Total Cost - $55.00

Much better than the quotes I had from FedEx and DHL. Interestingly my tracking is done through FedEx and delivery in the Philippines is via FedEx. And the best news.. Annie tells me FedEx makes deliveries in her neighborhood semi-regularly, so they should find her easily.

My luckiest part... My local post office just started offering this service less than 30 days ago.

If it's going to be, it's up to me!

February 14th 2006 - Proved I was really serious, proposed to Annie - She said "Yes"

February 2006 - January 2007 - Both working, saving, planning. Continuously chasing Annie online, on phone...

January 22, 2007 - February 4th, 2007 - Together again in Philippines, working on paperwork, visiting family.

February 27th 2007 - I-129F Mailed to Nebraska

March 6th - NOA1 Received.

May 23rd - NOA2, Received Approval Email

June 14th - Receive letter from NVC, packet on the way to Manila Embassy

July 30th - Annie receives packet from Embassy, appointment scheduled for September.

August 29th - Annie survives Blood Draw, Injections, and successfully completes Medical at St. Lukes.

September 13th - Annie is a huge success at the Embassy, SHE IS APPROVED!

September 20th - Visa in Hand, tickets purchased..

December 18th - Jumped on Airplane, Philippines for Christmas and New Year's.

December 27th - CFO Seminar Succesfully Completed

January 8th - Jumped on Airplane to USA together, Seattle POE, arrived home to Kansas.

March 14, 2008 - Married

May 19, 2008 - AOS NOA1 Recieved, Biometrics scheduled for June 18.

One more update, EXTREMELY FAST SERVICE..

I sent this at 12:30PM in Newton Kansas on Tuesday. It is now Thursday night 10:45PM, and Annie is looking at the contents of the envelope.

If it's going to be, it's up to me!

will fedex deliver to the provinces? i'll have to send mine about 2hrs north of cebu city, and i hate usps tracking (it leaves a lot to be desired)

I have always used dhl for my packages to cebu. they are reliable and easy to track. Never had a problem with them.
