It depends, but it's good news as you should be approved without needing to be interviewed... see our timeline for how long we waited...

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Dear Friends, our case transferred to CSC and I wonder how long after approx. case may be approved?

Now, you wait. There is no way to tell how long your case will take after being sent to CSC. Some have waited for a year, others have waited less.

Just sit back and try to relax a bit. ;)

About a month after Claudeth's petition was transferred to CSC she was approved without an interview so we hope you have the same luck! Good luck

This is what the website says:

I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status Employment-based adjustment applications January 13, 2007

So I'm taking this to mean, for those of us whose cases have been transferred to CSC in August, we can expect to wait another 6, 7 or 8 months before our case is even looked at, right?

Nope, if you read what everyone has said so far you will see that every case is different and that there is no way to determine how long your case will take. The time lines put out by the USCIS are approximate and averaged times.

That would assume that the processing times on the USCIS aren't meaningless. Hint: They're meaningless.

Hmmmm.... I lived by the timeline when I first applied for K-1 :sigh:

I guess we can do is just wait and see what happens.

Good luck to you DH and everyone else as well!

Its not even clear that the processing times on the USCIS website apply to family based AOS applications, some people have been told that they are only valid for employment based. Either way, your best bet is to see how others on here are doing.

That said, FBI name check throws all timeline stuff out of the window.

I was told by a officer in USCIS that even though we were in CSC we should use the family based date for the local office. A lot of good it did us.

There are too many variables that go into adjudicating a case to give a good time line estimate.
