Hi folks,

I have been following this post for a very long time because my country of chargeability is Middle East and potential candidate for additional processing. After being current on the visa bulletin for nearly 2 years I finally got my interview with Montreal for next week. Sorry for the unrelated post but I had to renew my sons passport since there was less than 6 months to expiry. Do I have to email Montreal before hand or can I inform them about this change in person? The DS 260 and medical have the old passport number but the registration page for passport return has the new passport number. Is this something I should worry about?Any inputs would be appreciated.

You can provide new information to document collection window and CO at the time of interview. If your son passport is not issued yet. You can provide it later but consulate will serve you 221g for son application. If you have five days before interview., you can walk into passport office and apply for expedited passport.
