Question with K-1 Visa Fees

Hello,

I'm working on sending an e-mail to my fiancee explaining what she needs to do to satisfy the fees, and I realized that I am confused...

So, I know she needs to pay the K-1 Visa fee of USD 100 (currently INR 4200) and VFS Courrier fee of INR 365.

My assumption is that she needs to go to an HDFC bank that is listed on the website (I will list the locations below) and purchase two demand draft checks (I assume demand draft is like purchasing a money order in the U.S.A.).

The demand draft check for the K-1 Visa fee should be made out for INR 4200 and payable to "The American Embassy, New Delhi".

The demand draft check for the VFS Courrier fee should be made out for INR 365 and payable to "HDFC Bank a/c VFS"

So... here are my questions:

1. Does anyone know what the fee is to purchase a demand draft check from HDFC?

2. Is purchase of a "Visa Fee Receipt from HDFC Bank" an acceptable replacement for the demand draft check to cover the Visa fees?

3. Does the HDFC bank take the demand draft checks, or do you keep them and give them to VFS or the Embassy later?
