Hi everyone, if my brother is sponsoring both my parents at the same time but in 2 different application. in form I-864 part 5, number 6 (person that you have sponsored in form I864) does he needs to count 1 for my mother in my father's application and 1 for my father in my mother's application?

Thank you for your help.

The count should include the other sponsored person, of course.

Thank you but I'm confused because it said "if you have sponsored any other persons on form I864 or I864EZ who are now lawful permanent residents" but both my parents are not LPR. What should I put in here? ☹️

He is sponsoring both of them so 2 plus him plus anyone else.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Yes himself, his wife, his kid and my parents but he fill 2 different form I864 for my parents and we're stuck at Part 5 we don't know should we put 1 in number 6 because both my parents are not LPR yet.

That number is 0 unless he sponsored somebody else who's now an LPR.

That's the total perhaps? The question about LPRs

I agree the total should be 5 but if I fill number 6 is 0 then the total I count on the form is only 4. The whole thing is so confused 🥲

Wait...

Part 3 - should enter information for both mother and father he's sponsoring.

Then in part 5:

1) 2 (both parents)

2) 1 (himself)

3) 1 (wife)

4) 1 (kid)

Total = 5

Same total for mother's form and father's form.

Part 3 number 2 it said "Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition". That's why I didn't add me mother as family member in my father's affidavit of support. 😫

Part 3 Question 1 - Yes.

You're sponsoring principal immigrant on each form. Each parent is a principal immigrant and they don't have derivatives.

My understanding is #2 is for derivatives. For example, when you file for spouse and minor child of yours.

I agree about part 3 not mention my mom in as family member.
The only thing we're stuck is part 5 I don't know where to add my mom in so the total household size is 5. Maybe I just add 1 in number 6 (doesn't matter she is not LPR) so the total can be 5?

You include them in family and list relation to principal immigrant. But you don't check the box 2 in part 3.

You're sponsoring them in different petition.

Ok so I will check only box 1, then put my mom's info in family member 1, then part 3 number 29 I have to input 2 right? does it conflict with my mom's affidavit?
