I-129F and biometrics fee

Hi,

I'm petitioning to bring my fiancee in Shanghai. I should be sending in the petition in the next 2 weeks.

I just put in a call to the National Visa Center asking where to attain a certified copy of my original naturalization document. For the initial filing, I will just send a photocopy, but I'm just thinking when my fiancee goes to her interview in GZ, the visa officer may ask for the original. After informing her about this, she said, the GZ embassy will NOT ask for the original. (she was very adamant about this). She said once they approve my packet here and ships it to the US consulate in GZ, my US citizenship has already been proved, and they wont ask my fiancee for the original. What are your thoughts?

The 2nd thing she mentioned was a reminder to include a check for $80 for the biometrics fee, along with the $455 payment for the I-129F filing. I've read this forum at length and I wasn't aware that the $80 would be paid this early? The money isn't the problem, but I thought this fee would take place later on, (after we get married, and applying for AOS).

Your feedback is appreciated.
