I printed my I-129f from VJ. Filled it out first, actually, then printed, sent it off with everything else. But just lastnight I was browsing the USCIS website. Looking over the I-129f I saw that the first page had a barcode at the bottom left. The one I took from VJ didnt have this barcode on it. Everything else was identical. The expiration date for each was in 2010. Anyone have anything on this? Just curious....:hehe:

I was pretty sure it was valid. But for a moment my heart stopped when I saw that barcode on the other website. I figured if everyone used that same barcode, the barcode itself would be quite useless. Anyway, thanks for the input. Anyone else have any opinions? :)

On the USCIS website at the right most column under 'edition' it says "07/30/07. 11/24/06 edition can be used, other editions not accepted" I just assumed this meant that the following form (were you to click the link) was edition 07/30/07 and was the most recent.

That being said, the next bit says 11/24/06 edition can be used... so if the form you sent in was the 11/24/06 edition (the previously linked form on VJ for I-129F) then you're fine! Because that form "can be used." If you used a form dated before then... I'm assuming it would not be accepted.

Good luck with your journey! All these forms and instructions are enough to make ya crazy. :P

Ummm.... the downloadable forms section here on VJ appears to be nothing more than merely a link to the USCIS website....

Well, I used the fillable forms with adobe that are found here on VJ. They appear to be the latest edition, simply missing that barcode on the bottom. But if most VJers have used the fillable/printable forms from this site, then I should be fine.

Cool! Can finally use the quote feature. Havent been able to for over 2 years. Firefox really works! Yay!!!

Where is this fillable forms section that is here on VJ? The only forms section I can find here is linked to the USCIS (who btw, also provides some fillable forms).

YMMV
