Once he has his interview date, you can call Knightsbridge Doctors and ask if there is anything around that date. However, most people choose to make two trips as if the results are not with the Embassy by the interview, he will be approved pending delivery of the results. Also, seeing as the Embassy has been giving out dates very close (like 2 weeks) to the date of the packet 4, there is also the risk that nothing will be available.

I guess it's really down to whether you want to gamble on this! When we booked Bruce's medical in May, they just said "when can you come in?" -- but we just may have gone at a slow time. I wouldn't say slim to none -- it's probably doable. But do you want that extra stress?

As they say here, swings and roundabouts!

I've lived here for 12 years and I'm not fond of it either! I sometimes wonder if my husband's distaste for London comes out of his formative years in Yorkshire...

If my memory serves me correctly I think the doctors said they need two working days after the medical to get the results to the Embassy. The Embassy will not issue the visa until they have the medical results.
