This is crazy most people seem to get their check/card cashed within 2-4 days of it being delivered. Guess I'll wait one more week before sending the whole package again.

If you sent the package again, you will need to include the new fees.

Talk to emma or call uscis and try to have them locate your package since you have the delivery proof

Hello all! Joining in on this too. Packet sent to Elgin lockbox via UPS 03/21. Recieved 03/25. I-797C recieved via text 03/29.

Spoke to an agent through Ask Emma and recieved no information regarding my biometrics appointment info or my online access code. It was honestly impressive how useless the agent was, as when I asked for my online access code I essentially got "you'll get it when you get it" as a response. I then asked about biometrics and received the automatic response of "thank you for contacting USCIS, have a great day!". Regardless, I am surprised by how quick I recieved the notification based on the varying experiences on here.

try again and ask about the biometrics appointment, that how i got mine

Attended my biometrics appointment today 03/29

Was 10 minuted late 🤣 no one else was there, the agent took my appointment letter and passport, I handed also my marriage certificate, she said she doesn't need it.

She told me i am number 31 and to wait at the waiting area (empty)

3 min later she called me to another desk where she took my fingerprints and photo

She gave me back my passport and papers and told me that was it.

Less than an hour later, case status for AOS and EAD changed to "Case is Being Actively Reviewed by USCIS"

I bit the bullet and paid Walgreens. It ended up being about $107 for 18 photos. ( I have my wife, and 2 daughters) so 3 immigrants total. It’s was 16.99 per 2 photos, but I talked the guy into giving me 30% discount.

that being said I did learn one thing when it was too late. If you tell them at Walgreens the photos are for an Indian passport they will give you 4 photos instead of 2. So my suggestion to everyone else is to say that so you can save a little money. Immigration is expensive.

I had kind of same situation. After two weeks I got too nervous and send second package. The day second package was delivered I got text notification about my first.

I called USCIS a few times before that, but they couldn't find my application in their system. After two weeks, they told me to send an email to the lockbox. You can find the email address on the USCIS website

Hello All,

I filed on March 19th to Chicago lockbox. Delivered on Mar 21st. Got text with receipt numbers on March 26th. I haven't received them in the mail yet.

All my cases show as received. Does the case status for AOS form says "Biometrics Scheduled" ? I tried to check with online agent and he mentioned the online access code has not been created yet for you.

The only worry I have is I don't want to miss my biometrics appt if its scheduled already. I have seen the biometrics gets scheduled but people received the appt. letter after the appointment date.

Mailed AOS package for my wife and 2 step children Thursday, March 28. Package was received Friday, March 29.

will update when payment is approved and NOA1 is received.

I did use form G-1450 credit card payment for all 3. I’m a little nervous about 3 large payments coming out at the same time, and my bank marking it as fraud.

Today, I attended my biometrics appointment, arriving about 10 minutes late, which thankfully didn’t pose any problem. However, the entire process ended up taking a substantial amount of time—approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, with the vast majority of that, around 2 hours and 20 minutes, spent just waiting. The application center, located in Alexandria, VA, was completely filled, indicating a high volume of appointments. Impressively, within just one hour after the appointment, my case status was updated to “Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS”.

Not an issue at all. Sorry you had to wait for 2 hours.

When I did my biometrics pre pandemic, it took no more than 10 minutes.
