Hi ,

Does anyone can suggest if I can apply for visitor visa for my wife? Is it advisable? Will it impact the I-130 application?

You can't, but she can.  There is no sponsorship or anything for B visas.

She can apply

As long as she does not lie it will not impact the I 130

Thanks @Boiler & @SalishSea for the input.

I am facing a bit situation. I am US citizen and my wife is currently pregnant & we are expecting 2nd child in Sep 2024. She is in my back home country with my parents. For my 11 month old infant I have also filed the I-130 petition online in Oct 2023 and case is still under review.

My wife's I-130 petition got approved in Jun 2023 but retained by USCIS since I made a mistake. Then I have filed I-824 for my wife in July 2023 and its 8 months now, no information yet. And adding to more misery, the case processing time at VSC increased to 19 months :(

My wife is experiencing lot of mental stress as she is unable to take care of child as well as herself. She is having pregnancy complications. She wants me to come to home country but my job in US doesn't allow me to work at home. I am left with no option but to leave the job then go back to take care of my kid and wife. It would cause severe financial hardship.

Q1) Can i write to USCIS to expedite my case on this situation, i understand its not life or death emergency case. But being in constant mental stress is severely impacting our health.

Q2) Do you think my wife & my kid have chances for tourist visa based on this situation, seeing her pregnancy case & child care. She will say whatever the truth is. That she is waiting for I-824 , and it would take more than a year and she cant wait etc.. Is it worth taking chance?

Q3) I have my child's I-130 petition under review. I was thinking to submit a letter in online portal requesting to expedite the child I-130 and mother's I-824 explaining all this situation. Is it good idea or bad? Since both cases are at VSC.

I really apologize for the long story, but stress is unimaginable. Kindly provide your wise thoughts. Thanks in advance. GBU all.

The odds of a B approval are very low in this scenario. "Worth taking a chance" is your call, it just costs $185 plus time to apply.

I am not seeing the Consulate presumably they are not eligible for the VWP?
