I dropped it off at UPS this mornign.. I really hope this goes thru and I don't have to send it again....uggghhhhh

Unfortunately, they will reject for incorrect fee. The fee change comes into effect TODAY April 1. If you can I would try to intercept the package with UPS.

I read that they were rejecting cases for the wrong fee last week, a bit premature.

I was able to correct the check at UPS... I'm friendly with the store owner.  He's from Venezuela and super cool with helping me out.  The ground shipments were picked up early but mine is overnight by air and that pick up is later ... so I'm lucky it was still there.

You guys all rock.

That’s awesome. Hope the rest of the process is smooth! Keep us posted.

I just called USCIS...

I told them I applied for the I-751 3 weeks ago... but didn't send the payment with the 1st application so the next day I sent another full application with the payment, credit card form filled out,

but that got rejected because Bank of America declined the payment because they thought it was fraud

and so that following Monday, Last Monday I overnighted the FULL packet again with a check for $750.00 but now it's over a week later and the check has not cleared... The lady at USCIS said it can take 30 days .... this is soooo ridiculous.

My wife is soooo upset and so am I, the fact that we have no one to call, no recourse.

I would love to hire a lawyer and sue the govt for the process that is unacceptable at this.

This is pretty typical for USCIS.

You can try suing USCIS, but that unlikely is going to result in anything meaningful.

Essentially, you made mistakes when filing I-751 and got penalized for that by losing time.

Based on everything else (not filing I-751 on time etc) I think in your case hiring a lawyer can make the process go smoother.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Somewhat belatedly he just filed, not sure what the basis of a case would be.

Perhaps after a year?

Patience is a virtue when dealing with USCIS.

It is really unfortunate, but ultimately, it was her responsibility to file years ago...

The process is overly bureaucratic, long, expensive, and all, and we can all complain about that... but it is still on us to follow their rules.
Wishing a quick process from now on.

At this point I've followed their rules and will pay whatever fee's.

But this is so ridiculous.  In todays world of computers and this is all paperwork ran through by a person.

It should all be computerized and more efficient, I don't have a problem putting these workers out of a job to increase the speed of the process. - Payment, Application, all documentation uploaded and approved... BOOM DONE!!!!!
