This is wonderful.  Even more optimal would be a place like Mauritania, Niger, or Western Sahara, which would be too far away for these clowns to try for U.S. re-entry.

For years, engineers have cited Murphy’s Law that "anything that can go wrong will go wrong."  The law is attributed to aerospace engineer Edward A. Murphy Jr. from the 1940s.  However, this week, the law seems to have been re-written by New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, who is under fire after suggesting that he may be sheltering an undocumented woman above his garage.

Murphy was being interviewed by the liberal group Blue Wave New Jersey and thrilled his Democratic base by indicating that he had given sanctuary to an undocumented person in his home.  It was a curious moment when, after promising sanctuary, Murphy not only appeared to out his guest but then taunted ICE to come and try to take her.

After seemingly staking out the immigrant like a sacrificial goat in a lion hunt, Murphy's virtue signaling summoned the authorities.  And now, the Iceman Cometh.  [...]

it would be so amusing to watch this play out and see him charged with

Homan Suspects That the FBI Is Behind ICE Raid Leaks

 

Amid the regular celebrations of the early Trump administration victories, there is growing horror that the federal rot runs as deep as it does.  I suspect that as the first 100 days wind down, we will not only be "tired of winning" but also tired of saying, "I knew it was bad, but not that bad!"

The latest foray into "that bad" came as immigration czar Tom Homan made the revelation that his people likely had a bead on who has been leaking information about ICE raids and tipping off the subjects, including gang members.  Appearing on "Hannity," Homan said that the culprits were likely people in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  [...]

On Monday, Trump issued a stern ultimatum to Hamas to release all remaining hostages by noon on Saturday or face dire consequences, but sources confirmed that Hamas leaders obtained a ruling from a judge appointed by the previous administration to effectively tie Trump's hands.

Trump Admin Revamps Biden-Era CBP One App, Will Help Illegals 'Leave Now and Self-Deport'

 

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced a complete redesign of the Biden-era CBP One App, converting it to CBP Home, an application designed to assist illegal immigrants in finding their way home through self-deportation.

The smartphone app was not new to the Biden administration, but the CBP One app was expanded significantly under the previous president and was used for scheduling asylum appointments.

Former Biden White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki touted the virtues of the application as a "telephonic" method to "track" illegal immigrants as they awaited court proceedings.  Some of those court proceedings were scheduled years down the line, however, and judging by the number of "gotaways" over the course of Biden's term, it didn't do a very good job of tracking anything.

DHS, rather than ditching CBP One altogether, has decided to turn lemons into lemonade.  They've overhauled the software in a manner that turns it into a tool to help illegal aliens self-deport.
