Hello friends,

I am a petitioner currently living in Vietnam. I am filing the form I-130 online and have some questions at the Evidence section:

1. Additional proof of marriage: I have bought a house with my wife in Vietnam with both my name and my wife name on the home deed. Do you think it helps to attach this deed for this question?

2. Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary: does she need to fill out this form I-130A now to attach for this question?

3. Official statement: religious, school, census, written statement... what do I need to submit? I am a US citizen.

Thanks very much!

Yes, the I130A needs to be completed and uploaded

If you have valid proof of being a USC such as a passport, you should be fine.

Good Luck!

Got my spouse visa in a short time in HCMC. Submitted about 30 pages of documents. If in doubt; submit it.

Hello, Can I get a visa for my spouse in shorter time in HCMC? what kind of documents to submit? It takes at least two years. Thanks.

Step 1:  Contact the consulate and ask if they will accept and process your I-130.  Do not submit the I-130 with USCIS.

Have you already submitted the I130?  Do you as the USC have an urgent need to repatriate to the US?

Thank you very much!

As you carefully read instructions, pay special attention to words like "if", "and", "or" etc.  They are there for a reason.  Interpret literally and answer accurately.  You asked about things that do not apply, based on missing an "if".

Not yet. I am filing it via USCIS website and stuck at these questions.

So are you planning to follow the USCIS path or attempt to see if the consulate will accept the filing?  If you submit online, the DCF at the consulate is no longer an option.

Good Luck!

And members here are correctly telling you that your plan will KILL any chance of filing directly with the Consulate.  If you have an urgent need to return to the USA yourself, you would be wise to contact the Consulate first, explain your need, and ask them to accept your I-130.  If you don't have an urgent  need to return to the USA, then follow your current plan.

Your questions have been answered.  Question 1 is YES 2 is answered YES  3. is irrelevant
