i was born in India. I have British citizenship at the time of applying based on sibling of us citizen.

Which country priority day will be applied in my case? Will my petition considered as India born or British citizen?

I have also seen that there is diversity category for applicants from low application rate. Europe was one of the countries in the list. Would my  application classed under diversity category automatically or do I need to specify ask for it in application at time of filling application or can I ask to update my details now to fall into diversity category now if applicable?

Experts please share your thoughts and advice. Thanks kumar

Europe is not a country.

Your country of changeability for DV purposes is India.

Thanks for responding. I am referring this link. Over there for chargebility , China is listed as China mainland born but India , Philippines , Mexico not. What does that mean?

Why born word is not used for other countries except China?

How about spouse? I heard you can play from spouse's country of birth. E.g. if OP is married to a person born in the UK they may qualify?

Correct. But specifically for op's situation they still wouldn't qualify because they still wouldn't be eligible under UK (except for northern Ireland, and some minor territories.)

As always it is a little bit more complicated than that and the UK ex NI has only been eligible last year in all the time I remember, this year who knows.
