Same thing happening to us..

Other friends who applied after us have gotten interviews and went though outh ceremonies....while we just wait. I know every case is unique, but this is unfair.

This is typical USCIS. I've seen this with my I-751.

At least, we're not asylum seekers from 2015 who got forgotten for years, some until now while newer applications got approved.

Your turn will eventually come!

Any Jacksonville, FL, March 2024 filler is still waiting for their Interview to be scheduled.
I applied in March 10th, 2024 still waiting for the interview, I tried this route - asked Senator to reach out to USCIS and was told the case in normal processing times

I feel you! I applied April 30th, did my biometrics on May 23rd. Since then nothing. I applied under the 3 years rule… I don’t think it fair that some people have applied after us and already have their interview date/citizenship…

This is typical for USCIS. I think folks waiting from 2016 for asylum are in even worse situation, whereas filers from later years for approved already.

Same here. 270 days and still waiting for interview to be scheduled. Others who applied in July are getting oath ceremonies. This is completely not fair.

Hey all - received my naturalization certificate!

Thank you everyone! It for sure was a marathon! Please DM or message if I could be of any help. Those are awaiting interview, don't lose hope.

I have my Oath Ceremony in 2 weeks. Do I have to study something? Do I have to know the Oath Allegiance by heart? I was approved in my interview but now I’m nervous about this ceremony lol

The Oath Ceremony is easy.  Just stand and hold up your right hand with the rest of the crowd and repeat each line after the officiant.  My wife just finished hers in San Diego and they were allowing guests, picture taking, video and it was a very relaxed and upbeat occasion.

Is anyone else still waiting on their N400 from March? Mine is over 290 days of wait now and just radio silent. I've filed the e-request for outside normal processing time and contacted my local congressman and both haven't been much help. Yet, some people who have filed in April 2024 and beyond have already been naturalized.

296 Days since N400 and 647 days since I-751.

Absolutely zero movement. I sent an e-request last week but I don't expect any respond.

What did the congressman say?

@HeatGun Here's the response from the Congressman:

"In response to my inquiry on your behalf, I received the below correspondence from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. I deeply regret that this matter could not be resolved in your favor.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter.  A review confirms your constituent’s Form I-751 application is currently pending alongside their Form N-400 application and will be processed simultaneously by their local field office at the time of the N-400 interview.

Their Form N-400 application is currently awaiting interview scheduling by the Phoenix Field Office. Although the A-File is still physically located at the National Benefits Center (NBC), the scheduling of your constituent's interview is within the jurisdiction of the field office. Once the field office schedules this case for an interview, your constituent will receive an interview notice stating the date and time to appear for the scheduled interview. Once the interview is scheduled, the NBC will then forward the file to the field office.

Processing time information for the Phoenix Field Office can be found on our website on the USCIS Processing Time Information page.

Thank you for the opportunity to be of assistance. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me."

@HeatGun Are you also applying under the 3-year rule?

Useless response. I thought they could pressure them for an interview date—useless response.

Yes, under 3-year rule. Pending i-751. 21+ months and nothing.

Each case is unique. A lot depends on your background, immigration history and whether I-751 is still pending. The people who got approved - did they have pending I-751?

This is normal. N-400 cannot be decided without I-751. Inquiry is not pressuring anybody. The only thing that would force things to happen is a lawsuit, Writ of Mandamus. But typically you won't sue before N-400 interview, unless you want to sue for I-751 decision. For which 21 months is not that surprising. Mine took about this long when thing were faster.

To give a perspective, I filed N-400 in December 2024, I-751 was approved in 2023. I'm not expecting decision until November 2025 or early 2026. One year is reasonable for N-400 without pending I-751. Elections are over, there's new administration coming. USCIS priorities are likely going to shift from naturalizing peope fast to other things.'

If I filed in March 2024, I'd start worrying after May-June 2025.
