It’s been a week and still just says interview scheduled. No update yet. Houston office. Any insight on how long it usually takes to update?

Received the RFE exactly 2 weeks after his interview.  Deadline is October 21.  Just waiting on the out of state clearances which were mailed the end of last week and will submit everything.  We have to mail it since they want originals, but I will overnight it.  Hoping to have it mailed by the end of the week.

Interview was last Tuesday in South Portland, ME. Still waiting for an oath swearing date. Wish they'd hurry up so I can be done with this lol

Edit: they just updated my status showing an estimated 3 months to schedule a ceremony? What the?!

Silly question: the local ECHL hockey team in Portland, Maine has their home opener the same day as my naturalization ceremony. Should I expect to be invited to attend and be part of some pregame ceremony? I've seen this happen in other sports markets where they have the new citizens down at ice level leading the crowd in the national anthem.

Just wondering what to expect lol

I had my interview scheduled for last week in Houston FO (we applied under 3 year rule). It was extremely busy, wait time for our turn was longer than 4 hours. Officers were very nice and were apologetic of the wait. Interview itself lasted between 20-30 mins. They took our interview in two parts, 1. for Removal of conditions on PRC, and 2. for Naturalization.

They asked all the usual questions, asked for all documentary proofs including filed tax returns, utility bills, child's birth certification, pictures etc. Once the part 1 of the interview was concluded, the Officer explicitly mentioned that I am satisfied and we will proceed to approve your case for ROC. Then he informed that the following questions are more relevant to N-400. He asked a few questions related to N-400 form, then asked civil questions (6) all were correct, followed by writing a sentence on the tablet.

At the end of the interview he gave the results paper with a tick saying we have passed our civil test and written one. And verbally confirmed that he needs to process our ROC first and then he will approve our N-400 case, he verbally also confirmed that your case is approved but the paper he shared said 'a decision could not be made' which was because of ROC and that we should expect something in mail for Oath scheduling.

I have not heard anything yet. I received an email saying 'An action has been taken on your case' but nothing has updated on the USCIS login portal. Status still says interview was scheduled and estimated time is now 4 months.

Anyone in the same boat? What is the expected timeline from interview to Oath for Houston FO given that ROC was also under process? I could tell that they are extremely busy.

I'd wait for updates.

4 months is a random estimate, don't take it seriously.
