Hi everyone!! I got a notice for my interview date which will be on Sept 17’th. I applied for my N-400 on March 28’th. I have been reviewing the 100 civics reviewer from the website but..

What documents should I bring on my interview? Aside from bringing my greencard and inteview

notice I believe? Congratulations to everyone who passed and are now US citizens!

The list of documents depends on whether you're applying on 3 or 5 year rule.

But you should also bring all of your foreign expired and unexpired passports. All ID cards ever issued by USCIS (EADs, Green Cards, Advance paroles etc).

I strongly advice bringing tax return transcripts for the last 3 or 5 years (based on rule you're applying).

If you had any criminal charges, bring paperwork around it.

The interview letter also provides a list of documents and evidence to bring.

I passed my interview on August 13th 2024 in Lawrence MA and was told to wait for the oath ceremony to be scheduled. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for the oath to be scheduled? in MA specifically?

Did you file in a 90 day early filing window? If yes, are you already out of that window?

No I didn't file early during the 90 day window. I filed after the window. How does that affect how long I have to wait?

It doesn't in your case. An interview might take place before the LPR has actually been a Green Card holder for 3 /5 years, but the oath cannot be taken before that date.

The countdown to decision is a made up number. I wouldn't rely on this.

All ID cards ever issued? Just curious, why is that? My interview is next week and I prepared a small folder. Why would that be beneficial? I'm bringing birth certificates, passports, green cards, marriage certificate, and some other things like our lease, car insurance, home insurance, health insurance, and all tax transcripts.

All cards issued by USCIS. This could be Advance Parole, Employment Authorization Document, Re-entry permit, Refugee Travel Document, Green Card etc. The reason why is because it's not your property. It's a property of US government.

The chances are small that immigration officer will ask for all of it, but he / she has the right.

Yep. Don't volunteer it but take just in case. I'll take US passport over expired GC any day. I'm secretly hoping I'd get to keep my old too lol.
