My letter didn’t say that it would be a combo interview (ROC +N-400) but the interviewer approved my ROC before starting the civic test (my husband didn’t come with me to the interview but it didn’t cause an issue).

Congratulations......no more USCIS worries.

I strongly, strongly advise anyone with a pending I-751 to bring the US spouse to the N-400 interview!!!!!!  By policy, USCIS will deny both the I-751 and the N-400 cases where the US spouse does not appear for a combo/joint interview.

I applied under 3 year rule in Houston on Jan 2, and was interviewed on June 27 (interview scheduled on May 20). Despite what the estimated time says, I think you are well within the normal processing time for Houston right now!

Thank you, this is very helpful! seems like 6-8 months is normal for Houston.

Great advice! Anyone with pending I751 should go to the interview with their spouse. I had pending I751 and asked my husband to come with me for the interview even though they never mentioned any combo interview. Infact, I didn't say anything about the pending application, but the officer mentioned 'Oh! you have a pending application'. I said, 'yes'. He said, 'good thing your husband is here, so we know you're still married'. He didn't ask my husband any questions and I'm not sure what he would have decided if my husband wasn't there, I was just glad that he was. Better to be safe than sorry!

I had my interview today at the Newark NJ office. I arrived 15 min before my scheduled time (11:15 am). I was called in around 11:40 am. My letter didn’t say that it would be a combo interview (ROC +N-400) but the interviewer approved my ROC before starting the civic test (my husband didn’t come with me to the interview but it didn’t cause an issue).

Congratulations! I also say you were lucky! The same happened to me (my wife didn't come with me) but the ROC was denied!
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS BRING YOUR SPOUSE!! Even just for N-400!!!

I have my n-400 interview this coming thursday but my i-751 got approved out of nowhere just a week ago (I asked for a combo interview since the 751 was pending and was just scheduled for the 400).

The problem is that I'm not going to have my permanent card for the interview since it still shows " We ordered your new card." and "Case Was Approved" right after that.

Am I still expected to have a combo interview? And whatever the outcome I won't be able to have a same-day oath since I have no GC to hand out right? (My office does same-day oaths if you pass the 400 in the morning)

Is anyone still waiting for the interview to be scheduled?

I filled N400 on March 10th with Married to USC 3-year rule and got Bio re-use after that no more updates

ROC 751 is pending from March 6th 2023

Jacksonville, Florida field office if it matters

Is anyone else still waiting? I feel like my cases are not moving at all. I-751 has not had a status change in almost 500 days! N-400 is at 141 days now. So frustrating.

in the same situation waiting since March 10th no updates , what is your field office?

Not mine, but my dad's:

03/18: Applied Online

03/18: Notice of appointment for biometrics, scheduled for 04/05

04/05: Case being actively reviewed

Reason I'm sharing this is, I applied on 03/17. My parents both applied together on 3/18, and my brother applied on 3/20.

Me, my mom and my brother all have our interview scheduled for 06/18.

But my dad's application is still under review.

Seems like a bit of a toss up on what they decide on.

We all applied under the 5 year rule.

Perhaps it's because of the speed camera ticket he had to submit, which didn't even have a fine associated with it, it was just a written warning from an automated speed camera in Ohio.

I on the other hand had a $175 traffic stop citation.... so idk what's up.

Update on my dad, he ended up getting his interview on August 19. Not sure what the delay was.
