I received an email from USCIS yesterday saying that they have taken an action in my case. I checked myuscis and finally got interview scheduled for 7/23. I’m in Los Angeles.

I had my interview on Saturday (18th) in Philadelphia, all went well and my Oath ceremony is on June 11th.  When I left my interview they said I’d receive a letter however not ten minutes later I had

Oh wow, that is amazing news. I am in Los Angeles as well (San Fernando Valley field office). I'm in the valley. Really hope I will get mine soon too.

Had my interview and oath ceremony on Tuesday 6/4/2024 in Los Angeles. Interview was scheduled for 7:50am but was called in at 8:15am. Did the writing and reading first before the civic questions. After after the yes/no questions, she took my file and left to another office for about two minutes and came back to ask more questions about ow long I was with my ex both during courtship and marriage. After answering her, she started typing for about two minutes then asked me to verify my information and sign. Then she told me I was approved and if I would like to take the oath same day, and I said yes. She gave me two papers and directed me to where to go for the oath. The ceremony started around 9:20am and lasted for about 20-25 minutes.

Today, 6/6, wife passed the N-400 interview, but not yet approved due to pending i-751. We are very disappointed since now we are waiting again at the mercy of USCIS. I see all different outcomes online of this situation. Maybe we have to wait months, or maybe the i-751 will be expedited. We thought we were at the end of the process, but we are still in the waiting game. Apparently earlier posts were correct that the N-400 cannot be approved until the i-751 is adjudicated. Possibly we could have contacted USCIS prior to the interview and asked for a combo interview to resolve everything at once. I just thought the N-400 would trump everything, but I was wrong. Waiting...

Crazy Cat was correct. My wife passed the interview 6/6 but no decision was made due to pending i-751. We are back to the waiting game hoping the i-751 will be expedited. I think some people had success by requesting a combo interview before the N-400 interview. It's very disappointing to go through the interview but have no.resolution. I'll be checking out case and let everyone know what happens next.

In cases like this, I think they usually ask for the I-751 to be sent to the local office right away.  I would also think there won't be an additional interview.  Hopefully, your local office will wrap the whole thing up soon.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I also received an approval letter for my i-751 yesterday.
