Good idea.  You just never know if the officer will conduct the interview or not.

What if our child is with us? (6 years old). I hope they let us know before, so we can try to make arrangements. We don't have anyone to watch her.

I was joking about the fee I paid for the I 751 since it looks like my wife will pass the citizenship interview first. It appears though that it will be adjudicated at the same interview.

Ha gotcha! Yes it would be nice if they did that. Good luck for your interview!

Hi all, I filed my N-400 application on 3/21/24 from Orlando (90 day rule, 3 years after GC). Case is still being actively reviewed. I'm at 60 days without an update on interview date. Let me know if we have folks here who received an interview notice 2 months after applying or later. Thanks!

I filed mine at Orlando as well on 3/23/24. Case is still under active review. I am under the 5 year rule.

Hi! I haven’t been here in awhile but my case history and all doesn’t show when I first log in on my uscis account. Is this new? Do ya’ll experience this too? The only way I can check for my case is thru case status checking and have to manually type the receipt number.

USCIS site maintenance is causing an issue it appears. It happened about a week or two ago for a short time.  I think all cases will return within a few days.

Question about international travel

I have international travel coming up in June end (travelling to india) and I booked in Air Canada.

I am Indian citizen which itself require transit visa to travel through Canada and Germany, but a GC holders do not need transit visa. My flight transits through Canada and frankfurt. I have 10 yr green card, so will I be allowed to board in the flight with Indian passport and GC

Last year, I was refused boarding in air Canada (was travelling with Indian passport , expired 2 yr GC and extension letter). In case anyone wondering why I booked air Canada again, they don't refund the ticket money but instead gave me credit which expires this year jun end. Hence again booked in this airlines. As per Canadian official website and German official web site , USA GC holders do not need transit visa.

Called Air Canada helpdesk (after 40 mins wait in queue and they don't have chat service available), service desk person she is not sure and told me to check in Canada embassy in NY. I did verify in embassy site, they don't provide appointments and don't think walk in allowed either. This is so frustrating. If anyone travelled through air Canada with non visa exempt passport and valid GC, pls let me know your experience

Sorry for the long post

Hi Everyone!
I filed N400 online on 03/07, only a month before my 3 year GC anniversary!

immediately after received biometrics reuse letter and within a week by mail!

San Jose filed office CA

case dropped from 7 to 5 months!!!

so excited about it! I can see people getting interview letter even before 3 months!

started to take clases for the civic exam and their were saying that people are getting it between 2 or 3 months!!

good luck to all of us!!!

Hi everyone!!!

trying to utilize my original post to make it easier!!

on April 10th I got my interview notice right after turning three years of GC holder,

Interview was held on May 17, Santa Clara Field Office (went with my Attorney) It took only 10 minutes and it was super easy and the Officer was super nice!!! At the end of the interview she said; oh! Do you have any travel plans for the next few weeks??? Because we have an Oath Ceremony next Friday! Would you like to take it next Friday? Gosh!!! Of course I said yes!!!
Oath Ceremony: May 24th 2024!

I still can’t believe it!!!

I came to this Country almost 10 years ago my whole file was like 4 inches thick!!!

from L-1A work visa to many works permits to a pending AOS to an approved VAWA to a GC and Now a new U.S. Citizen.

Even if I was eligible to file for VAWA after 3 years, I filed through my husband (second marriage)

Best for everyone!
