I applied on 03/31 online and just received my noticed that my interview has been scheduled for 06/25 (Detroit). However, I will be out of state that day on training. 
Anyone familiar with the rescheduling process? I called and was told I will receive a call once my reschedule request has been approved and then I get put back in the queue  does that mean I wait another 6 weeks for an appointment?

I will be at an important work trip and everything has been booked, or I would not be rescheduling.

I received a new interview date today, 05/24, scheduled for 07/02. Applied 03/31 online, biometrics reused, received first interview noticed on 05/14 for 06/25 but couldn’t make that work. I’m so glad it didn’t take another 6 weeks to re-schedule me, I was nervous. One week later worked perfectly! 
Detroit office.

I don't believe this is true. The N-400 interview approval makes the I 751 moot. I believe a combo interview is the option USCIS can choose for whatever reason they have. If you get through the N-400 interview and are approved then take the oath, you are done. Am I wrong? Citizenship doesn't depend on having your restrictions removed from your green card. If anyone knows different, I'd like to hear about it. I'd like to get that fee back as well, but I know that won't happen.

You are wrong, see Section E here: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-6-part-i-chapter-3. This is the general case. For exceptions, see here: https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-g-chapter-5.

Spouses with Pending Petitions and Naturalization Applications

^{So, the I 751 will be adjudicated concurrently if it has not been adjudicated prior to the interview. I take this to mean the effect will be the same  as I said in my posting. If they want to bring you in for a combo interview they will, or they'll just approve the I 751 when you pass the N-400 interview.. I believe, from other postings, that if they want a combo interview they will specify it in the interview appointment letter. Is that correct?}

No.  In our case, the local office notified us by email us 2 days prior to wife's N-400 interview to inform us that it would be a combo interview.  The N-400 interview letter did not mention the I-751.  Others are informed when they arrive for the N-400.

I suggest u call USCIS or do live chat with agent to check if your case has been assigned to the officer or if its in line for interview schedule. Some people have tried that and were able to get this info. I also tried but my agent was not very friendly. I would say u also try your luck and see if u find any updates.

I did a couple of days ago. They said there is nothing new and my case is processing normally.

I was joking about the fee I paid for the I 751 since it looks like my wife will pass the citizenship interview first. It appears though that it will be adjudicated at the same interview.
