I logged on last week and it was at 2 months and had been steadily reducing for months. Today it says 8 months until a decision. We filed March 24th 2023.

Wondering if anyone else had noticed that the dates start changing when your case is being worked on behind the scene or saw it change then got their noa2 shortly thereafter.

Thanks all,

K&M

Are you referring to ‘myprogress’ ? If so it fluctuates up and down and zeros out then changes again. It’s extremely inaccurate for most. I personally don’t bother to check it as it holds no value in reality.

Yeah the myprogress. I’m just wondering if anyone else had seen that?

If USCIS has a good algorithm,  the process dates would change  daily depending on cases coming in and going out of any office including those that are transfered to another facility

A good computer algorithm would include info like what staff is out for any reason and all the holidays

right now the timeframe should go down as we are done with the holidays from Thanksgiving to Presidents day(that's a lot of office time off )

timeframes will soon go up as petitions increase in the summer months with people traveling to meet and /or marry

I watch the site called number of service-wide forms to date put out for each quarter which shows # of each type of petition ,  # approved, # denied and those pending

U filed in March 2023 and at that time there were 1,918,709  pending CR1's  and 57,295  K1's   along with all the other visa categories which total 8,875,675 pending in US offices

and now USCIS is dealing with almost 1 million asylum cases and the number of those has exploded in 2023

USCIS  is crazy for stats and charts and not on keeping us informed

we pay for US offices to keep Congress informed with charts and stats and we are in the dark on our own progress for a petition

sadly that is standard here. Everytime I talk to one of my friends I have to hear about why doesn’t she just cross like all the people at the border… I’ve kept the number of people in the know, as best as possible to a minimum.
