Vietnamese & US Passport

As my 5-year visa nears expiration, I've been issued a Vietnamese passport, which bears my Vietnamese first name, while my US passport displays an English first name (with the same middle and last name). I'm concerned whether it's permissible to present my Vietnamese passport at Vietnamese immigration despite the English name on my ticket.

Does anyone have this problem and would like to share it with me? Will US airlines allow me to board the plane?

Vietnam immigration never ask for it because you admit as a Vietnamese citizen.

Never ask for your airline ticket? Are you sure? They asked for mine 3 weeks ago

You're enter Vietnam as a Vietnamese's citizen, so what the point of asking for the ticket?

I'm not the agent. I won't know but what I'm telling you happen 3 weeks ago.  Just like when you enter the usa, you present your previous boarding pass to the CPB.

Again. Unless you enter that country with Visa, they can ask for a round trip ticket to make sure you going back to home country. However, you now already have a Vietnamese passport and enter Vietnam as a VN's citizen, so there is no point to ask for a round trip ticket(unless they want some coffee money.). The same thing when you enter USA with US passport.

I traveled 3 times to Vietnam last year, and they never asked for the ticket in Vietnam nor USA. The might ask which flight I took though. Also, it’s very common to have your given name as middle + first name combined even when you use the Vietnam Passport to book tickets. I know China Airlines does that. So I don’t think there will be any problems.
