Decisions have consequences, but as you say that is out of your control.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Thank you for your response and the recommendations provided. I've decided not to request expedited processing, as your suggestions resonate with me. Rushing the process could be perceived as either suspicious or desperate, especially considering my mother's lack of legal status, which may not qualify as a valid reason for expediting. My husband is a travel agent, has a flexible schedule and can visit me 1-2 times a month. Given these circumstances, I don't feel any urgency regarding the procedure.

It's not a matter of "desperate".  Most expedite requests are.  The issue is that the beneficiary has entered into the marriage for an immigration benefit related to their mother, instead of a bona fide relationship with the petitioner.

I do not see the connection in seeking an expedite on the I 130.

A B with an emergency appointment would be more appropriate.

Exactly, it can be seen like that. We're just going to keep it the normal way.

B1/2 much much quicker than any I 130 expedite.

Yes, and opens the same can of worms, with little chance of success.
