Does anyone here have first hand experience with a k1 beneficiary with a theft conviction ( shoplifting) . I have my interview coming up next month . I am so nervous. On my police clearance certificate it states that I have a theft conviction and the sentence was a warning. I never did jail time. I was given a warning. I hear that I’m automatically headed for a denial at the interview. What can I do

A warning is something you het if they decide not to prosecute.

What was the worst you could have served?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

On my police clearance under sentence it’s written warning. The judge said he was giving me a warning and never to commit any crime again. I was never sentenced to any jail time

As asked by @Boiler, what was the worst you could have served? It matters.

Time to find out.

So I should find out the maximum sentence I’d have been given, had I been sentenced to one?I am going to be gathering all the police arrest record and court record and charge sheet tomorrow

You need all that anyway but t will also tell you of you are in waiver territory.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
