Hi all,

My USC wife and I submitted the I-130 two weeks ago, on February 9. There is now a 'myProgress' tab in our USCIS account which says the estimated time until a decision is made will be "2 months".

Is this likely to change again? All the research I've done, it's supposed to actually take about 12 months.

Thanks for your advice.

Hey there! We filed on February 10, I also noticed that a myprogress tab has appeared on ours too with an estimate of 2 months as well. I do also think these are not very accurate since I've seen others who posted that they change often and don't follow the estimate. How I wish 2 months was true!

They seem to be taking 11 months ish

We filled at a similar time.  It said 3 months at first, then it changed to 2 months after ten days.

It would be nice to think things are moving faster these days, but all the evidence online would suggest it's just not accurate.

I would be curious to hear when the time estimate changes for you @Penguin_DE and @jmalelkamel  I can't help wondering if there is any pattern.

Did you file online?

The next step will be your case is taking longer than expected.

Pay no attention to that timeline....we had all ranges from 8 months, 2 months, 5 weeks, it's taking more time, etc.. It took us 11 months and I am a February 2023 filer for the I-130.
