Me my wife and minor child(18 months) all were on LPR status. Last month my application for naturalization (N-400) was approved but my wife is still on LPR (not yet eligible for N-400). While waiting for oath ceremony we traveled to India and I came back but my wife and kid are still in India. Today I have attended my oath ceremony and got naturalization certificate. I know my child is also become citizen today. Can my child come back to US on LPR and then apply for passport?

This sounds like a law exam question 😃

Technically, if your kid permanently resides in the US and was on a temporary trip under 6 months, they should become a US citizen when you naturalize. You'd have to get them a US passport to come back.

This is not a legal advice, I'm not 100% sure your kid is a US citizen, but most likely is
