I just recieved an e-mail from CRIS to say they have ordered production of my EAD card.

My receipt date was 29th June and they ordered production today.

OMG I have waited since November 2005 for this when my AOS was denied and I was told I could not work anymore.

Prima facie determination received from Vermont 20th Nov 2005

DIVORCED JANUARY 25th 2006

EAD applied for again (jeez I need to work ) 28th Feb 2006

Removal hearing July 12th 2006

RFE's received for I360 and EAD 13th October 2006

NOID received March 2007

EAD denied March 2007

Back to Immigration Court April 18th 2007

NOID request for evidence received USCIS 3rd May 2007

I 360 touched May 31st 2007

I 360 actually approved May 30th 2007

EAD filed June 23rd 2007

I 485 filed July 24th 2007

NOA1 for I 485 August 1st 2007

EAD approved August 6th 2007

Medical with CS August 28th 2007

Biometrics August 24th 2007

Paperwork sent to Immigration Judge to finally terminate removal proceedings September 10th 2007

 

GREEN CARD FINALLY APPROVED AFTER 4 YEARS September 9th 2008 :D

 

N-400 Filed online 03/04/2018

NOA online 03/05/2018- projected Citizenship completion date December 2018

It's kind of strange because I was never asked to do the biometrics for it. Would anyone know why? The last time I did biometrics was for my AOS and EAD in DEC 2004. when I applied again for my EAD in Feb 2006 (as part of my VAWA application) I was also never asked to do any biometrics. I just got an RFE for not sending any photos.

I just spoke to my attorney and she said she didn't know why either-oh well as long they don't take it away again.

But if anyone has any idea could you let me know?

Oh wow that's scary it took that long? My husband just filed for his thought it only took like 30 days to get a work permit? Could it be that your situation was differant than ours? I hope so otherwise he'll be moving back to England he can't and wont be out of work for that long...cyndi

No please don't worry my situation is completely different (read my signature). It usually takes about three months. This is the 3rd time I have applied, the first approved then cancelled becasue of my abuse case etc. The second time regarding my Vawa petition in which I initially received a NOID so they denied my EAD anyway depite a final approval.

This last time I applied at the end of June and it was approved today, which about 6 weeks I guess. It said I should get the card within 30 days.
