Same here. Approaching 1 month since biometrics (8th Mar) and still no news.

Normal. It can take months before you get EAD / AP (if you filed). Or silence for another 6-9 months, then either decision on the case, RFE or interview notice.

I'll add my short timeline as well:

Mailed to the Chicago lockbox: February 23

NOA1: February 29

Biometrics: March 13

No movement so far, which I was expecting, but I've seen some people in my Facebook group receive their EAD right away after their biometrics. Maybe the recent fee increase is slowing things down.

I-131 Advanced Parole does not require biometrics - it is solely an approval or denial. Although the system indicates it is required, that is not the case and will continue to show that until the AP is approved, or your GC is approved.

Has it been commonplace as of late for the GC to be approved and granted before AP? I want to apply for AP, however cautious that I could be wasting $630.00 (which I could really do with saving at this moment in time) should GC be issued before AP.

It was pretty common before USCIS started charging for AP separately. We don't have enough data to say whether now AP will be processed faster because of the new fee schedule or it will remain the case of it never being issued. Remember, each case is individual

Also got i-131 case closed. Honestly the EAD is more important in my case and its been stuck for a month on "case taking longer than expected". Whole process is frustrating

I’m really hoping for a combo card! Please post any update you receive. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone!

I just logged into myUSCIS and noticed that it says “case closed” for the I-131! Don’t want to get too excited but hopefully that means my application is moving forward 🙏

Check the documents tab of the I-765 in the next 24 hours. Likely a combo card approval. Same thing happened to us a few weeks ago.
