Gracias por su mensaje!

We sent all the documents we could (via our lawyer), to meet the requirements.

We included both the IRS and Hacienda Tax Returns for the Joint Sponsor, as well as brokerage/investments accounts (TD Ameritrade) for both the joint sponsor and I (with assets that well supersede the requirements USCIS is looking for) and bank account statements back-dated 12 months.

Still, we got an RFE, which indicated that both the Primary and Joint Sponsor do not meet the requirements)...  😂

So something tells me the agent didn't look at anything, saw Hacienda/Puerto Rico, and thought it was a different country.

Not surprising: Some TSA Agents think that PR is not a US state/territory and refuse to accept my ID until I ask for the Managing Officer.

@omgslay

Correct.

When it comes to reviewing cases, I've always believed that some officers review the cases down to the T of what they have been told, so when something is not 1 to 1 with their "guide", they just submit an RFE or whatever - rather than using critical thinking and actually reading the paperwork.  You can tell when there is a senior officer versus a newbie.   I also think some of them are extremely disorganized or lazy.  For our AOS packet, we got an RFE for my husband's birth certificate, which I know we included because I had an exact copy of the packet AND the packet had a detailed cover letter indicating where everything was.  SMH.

Welcome to immigration where the paperwork is a lot and the time doesn't matter!

My AOS package was delivered on 02/07 to Chicago Lockbox. I have still not received receipt text or any notification. Anyone else waiting for AOS NOA1?

After 30 days you may contact USCIS to request them to re-send NOA1.

Hi everyone! I have send an application for my mom's green card and AOS on February 1st and still have not heard anything from USCIS! It's been almost 30 days. I am going to call them again on March 1st.

My Husband called them about a week ago, they confirmed to him that they can see me as a petitioner, but had nor started working on our case yet.

They have not deposited the check we sent, nor have I received NOA

Does anybody know what to do?

My mom's visitor 's visa expires in less then a month.

Mailed: Feb 16th to Phoenix lockbox (since we live in Tennessee).
Delivered: Feb 20th.

Checked status of each receipt number today on USCIS website:

I-485 says biometrics appointment was scheduled on Feb 28th and to look for notice in the mail (not arrived).
I-765 says case was received on Fed 21st and to look for receipt notice or acceptance notice (not arrived)
I-131 says the same thing as I-765.

Hello guys. Has anyone had success with calling the USCIS contact number and speaking with an agent to get their online access code? I’ve tried the “live chat” with Emma three times (on three different days) but every time the agent declines to go provide me the code. And they log out before I even have a chance to ask a follow up question. The last agent I chatted with was kind enough to let me know when our biometrics was scheduled for but I’m concerned the biometric appointment notice may not come in the mail before the date since they scheduled the biometrics so close to when they received our AOS packet
Any advice/tips will be much appreciated.

We had the same thing. Our biometrics appt letter arrived the afternoon of the 28th. Letter said appt was for 10am on the 28th. Good job govt! Called the number on the letter to reschedule. Still awaiting an email with new appt.

Letters were dated 20 Feb. took 8 days to get to us. 🤷‍♂️

After numerous tries, I got a nice agent who provided me the online access code.

Took a while - a few days and like 10 agents, but she helped me out. Luck of the draw I guess.

Letter ended up arriving with the code that same day in the evening, funny enough.

If in the event you aren't able to get the code via chat and if the letter doesn't arrive by the appointment date, just call the number on the back of the letter to reschedule - it will not be an issue.

I stayed up until 3am to start the live chat with them since I live in Hawaii, people said there is no waiting line if you start early around 8-9am EST. I connected immediately with a live agent, I told her I would like to have my online access code, she asked my information then gave the code for me. First try worked well! I changed my biometrics appointment to the next day and 5 days later I received the letter from them.

Does anybody know if it is possible to reapply? I'm afraid our case got lost because we sent it to a wring office for our state or for some other reason

You should update your timeline so we can see when you did things.

But, we submitted to the Phoenix lockbox as well and it was 25 days before they did anything. As long as you have delivery confirmation, they will eventually do something, even if it’s sending the package back.

I see in your post that you live in Dallas? And sent your package to Phoenix?

Look at this site below. If you are in Texas, you should have sent to the Texas lockboxes.

https://www.uscis.gov/uscis-lockbox-filing-locations-chart-for-certain-family-based-forms

They will either forward your package to the correct location, that will take a while, or they will send your complete package back and you can then send it to the correct place.

Yes, we live in Dallas, but sent the package to Arizona. It's been over 30 days since they received the package and we haven't heard anything

you sent it to the wrong location, they will probably automatically forward it to the right location. Did you try to contact USCIS?
