No i did not respond to it. Because our relationship did not last long after the interview.

How many visits have you made for how long, to your current spouse?

I would brief your wife on the past petition.

I would not go to the interview. Classic example of where no good can arise from you attending.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

So thats why i am asking will this be cause for a red flag to them and what should i expect during the interview this time..

You should expect the interviewer to ask your current wife about your past wife.
This might be a red flag. No one can say for certain though.
You should tell your wife everything about the marriage that ended in divorce and if any of the same “flags” with first marriage are also in the second marriage I would be worried…

Sounds like the consular's decision was a good call .... Sometimes they can see things that "love is blind to."  For your 2nd Wife, they are going to read through the lines and judge it the same way ... If all is legit as you say, and your 2nd Wife can answer all the details about you, etc then you should not have any issues.

That much visiting does tend to take away relationship validity concerns.  But they will still ask your current wife questions about your previous case.

  • 4 weeks later...

Just an update on my case we went to the interview and received a 221g requesting more evidence which i uploaded the same night of the interview (March 7 2024) the officer kept my wife's passport..

My case status on ceac was in refused since that day. today my case went from refused to Ready, then to Administrative Processing.

i have heard this is good news the fact that they kept her passport. Hopefully i get a issue notice soon..

Why did they give you a 221g and What was the addition evidence they asked for at the interview. Curious because I have interview coming up in DR with a similar situation of being my 2nd petition for someone in DR as well and any information you can help with will be appreciated thank you

They required more evidence of the relationship, the officer specifically asked me for these things

photos from 2019 (when i came to see her for the first time) untill may last trip before this one

a doctors note of a treatment he put me on which I mentioned to the officer we were trying to have a baby so he asked for this

and a Bank Letter stating both our names on the account

and he kept the passport, still in AP today 😢😖
