A couple questions, I do not see on the IR1 / CR1 Souse Visa guides that for Nigeria that a medical exam needs to be taken. Yet, I do notice that is discussed here.

Besides the Police Report, what else is required? Also, are their a particular facility where the medical exam needs to take place?

Currently do you know approximately know current timelines for the following:

  • NVC file completed online, how long to process information and send case to Nigeria?
  • Once case is in Nigeria, how long for Interview date?
  • Does the interview date show upon the NVC website, or what is the form of communication

Thank you for your help, and any other thing, maybe I am not seeing or missing, I appreciate your help and efforts.

Just now, Kenny joy said:

It takes up to 3months for nvc case filled online to be approved .

It takes up to a year and six months to get a visa interview after nvc approves your case online.

They send you a letter via email for an interview appointment

Before your interview, you’ll be given instructions on what to bring on your interview day and also the only two specific places to go do your medical exam which is in Lagos.

Yes, Lagos has a big backlog. 18 months to 2 years from DQ to interview usually, depends on the kind of case. You can search for timelines or look in the Consulate sub forum for more info on current times.

Good luck.
