Hi Everyone, my Wife, in some of her most recent trips back home to Colombia noticed that her passport ( Colombian ) doesn't contain date stamps every time for when she entered that country.

For the N-400 of course it's required to verify your time outside the USA, does anyone know of other forms to verify the dates of international travel besides looking at your passport stamps?

Thanks Very Much!

We used combination of passport stamps, personal calendars, and airline itineraries.

I had an excel file where I listed my foreign travel.

Also, if you don’t purge your email account regularly, you should be able to find at least most of the tickets/reservations/confirmations with dates. Use those. And if you’re not sure, give the best approximation you have.

Email confirmations of purchased tickets, airline portals (rewards accounts), calendars (iphones for example suggest/add tickets from emails), whatever stamps you still have, memory, text messages from phones (I arrived, about to depart). There is a myriad of ways you can recover this. You would have to the digging but it is best to get it right.

I do exactly the same....every time we travel, I enter the dates and it calculates days in/days out...this is the best way to do it because airline account history seems to disappear after a certain amount of time as do confirmation e-mails, receipts, and memories.

Should we also include future travel plans? I plan to take my husband to Mexico for his birthday, just one week after I submit my N-400.

If you know the dates then yes. By the time they get to your application you'll be long back home. It just removes one question from the officer to ask you.

Your wife can do a FOIA request for US entry/exit records. Note that the exit records are a bit hit-or-miss since there are no formal exit checks in the US (though more and more airports do biometric exit checks), those dates tend to come from airline records or other countries that share data. The process also usually takes a few months. I combined a US FOIA request with Canada ATIP request to reconcile tens of land border trips to Canada before my N-400.

The system won't let you input dates in the future. They will ask for it during the interview, my interviewer could already see trips done since the application on her computer and added those to the file as we went through it.
