Hello :)

I haven't been on this site much since my husband crossed to the US in October 2005 - although, this site was so very helpfull during our process up to that point - I figured it would be just as helpfull for the next process.

We are getting ready to send in our I751 form - have a few questions.

we are are going to send copies of tax forms - do I need to send copy of all the forms or just the front page?

also - do we need to send passport size pictures? I didnt see anywhere on the instructions requesting these - although noticed a few people on there posts say something about sending them in. I just want to make sure we have everything prior to sending in the pkg. I think thats all the questions for now - although, might come up with a few more im sure...

Thanks - any help would be greatly appreciated. Lisa

Send tax transcripts, and no passport pictures are required. Pictures of the two of you together, however, would be good to include.

Yeah, go on the IRS website to find the phone number to call for transcript orders.

Sounds like you are on the right track for evidence, just make sure you have strong evidence r/t joint mingling of assets and liabilities. :)

Lisa,

Send a photocopy of just the form 1040. The point to be made with the tax return is that you and your husband are filing jointly, and the 1040 is sufficient for that purpose. You could also send a tax transcript, as others have suggested, but if you have the former on hand and have to send for the latter why bother?

You do not need to send passport-size pictures any longer.

IMO, IRS transcripts are considered more reliable as they come from IRS computer database.

Thanks for all that replied. I was unable to get the transcripts - IRS said would be approx one month. So, I chose to just send a complete copy of our tax returns - better to give them more information than not enough.

So our wait - begins again.....I sent the pkg out priority mail on Saturday it arrived in NE today at 4am. I am sure I will be back reading the forums soon.

Thanks again :) Lisa/Tim
