We received the 48 Month extension letter on 9th Feb and still waiting for the next notice about Biometrics.  Should I be concerned that it has been a month since the NOA1 and still not given the biomertics notice?  The online status only shows the case received and NOA1 sent. I checked with ask emma live agent and they said - when the case is ready for biometrics they will send us a notice... It looks un-usual. Anyone else in the same boat?

No, you should not be concerned. I submitted case in late November 2021 and got biometrics almost in May of the following year. I also saw it took a year for some people to get biometrics appoitment or reuse. Same for 2022/2023 filers. I-751s are sloooooow

I have now heard of 2 VJ I-1751s that were filed in February that have been approved without interview.

Anyone else?

Probably just a lucky few outliers to decrease the average time, but it makes me wonder if the wait time will be going down.

I believe this^^^

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Anybody had any movement on their case yet? I’m still over here playing the waiting game.

I will be filing N-400 in February 2025. Hopefully that will move it along if it is still stuck then.

Looking at the IOE09 block on casestatusext, for cases received in February 2024 the stats are currently:

Approved 337

Processing 9716

Terminated 16

Withdrawal 2

Denied 3

RFE 9

Interview Scheduled 10

Fingerprint Scheduled 19

Received 39

Rejected 17

Looks like the most movement is happening on cases from February 2023 currently.

So a ~3% approval rate at eight/nine months out. My expectations were low, but that is even lower than I thought it’d be.
