Took the oath on Tuesday and applied for passport the next day. Can't even begin to describe how relieved we are to finally be free of this years long burden.

Good luck to everyone, whatever stage you are at in the process. And a big thanks to everyone on the forum (especially the regulars) who take the time to provide so much invaluable help and support throughout this often insane and stressful roller coaster of a journey.

Hi Everyone,

I had my interview yesterday. It was for 7:30 am in Irving. Got there at 7 am. They didn't let my wife in so I went in alone. Signed in and got called up at 7:45 am. The test was smooth. Answered the first 6 questions correctly and did the verbal and written ones. He updated my travel history as I had traveled after submitting it. I signed what would be on the certificate and also the oath of allegiance then there was an issue.  I applied before I was domiciled in Texas for 90 days. I submitted it one week earlier. So he said he couldn't approve straight and had to speak to a supervisor. Everything was perfect except for that. Such an easy interview. I had it bother me all day and at the end of the day I got the notification that it had been recommended for approval.

Thank you for all the help and support on here.

Finally just passed my interview at Federal Plaza in NYC. Interview was scheduled for 1.20. I arrived, passed through the security and sat to wait on the 8floor. Quite a few people were waiting also. After about an hour wait my number was called in by a very nice officer. The whole ordeal lasted about 10 minutes. Started immediately with the civic questions:

What are 2 right in the Declaration of Independence?

What is the supreme law of the land?

What is the capital of the US?

Which is one of the longest running rivers?

Self-government idea in the first 3 words?

….and I forgot the last one.
than we went on to reading and writing, application yes/no questions and then it was Congratulations, you passed!

the easiest process from the beginning! Thank you all For help and support….writing this as I am waiting for the same day ceremony

Yes I did. I bought a ticket to travel next weekend and went to a passport agency.

if I was going this weekend, I would have gotten it same day.
