We just got a letter from USCIS titled "Courtesy Notice of Marital Bona Fides" and it's basically asking to submit evidence that we are still in a continued marital union for his I-751. Its asking for us to mail in.

tax transcripts

lease/mortgage

bills with both our names

letters from our employers

joint accounts

but we already submitted that in is I-751 application last year. We filled out an N-400 application earlier this year with all that updated info, why would they need it again. Should I try to contact USCIS? Im guessing that agent doesn't have our N-400 info.

Personally, I would just submit everything again as requested and also try to contact an agent.

Yep. planning too. I hope this is maybe just them asking for that info so they can waive the I-751 interview.

hey all. a final update :)

we took our oaths yesterday at a beautiful ceremony in St Paul, MN.

we applied for and picked up our passports today. we have international travel coming up in a few weeks and need visas, and were able to use the Urgent process.

with this, WE. ARE. DONE!

thank you to this group for all the moral support and tracking details you provided. it has been a long, painful and sometimes doubted journey, but we're finally home now.

Not sure if anyone here has Global Entry, but if you need to update your GE after citizenship / name change, you can contact CBP via the portal and send them scans via email. Took them about 2 weeks to process my request but I didn't have to go to the enrollment center.

  • Go to ttp.cbp.dhs.gov
  • At the bottom of the page where it shows CBP Support, click on "For help with Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST"
  • It will open a new page for CBP Customer Service. Click on "Ask A Question" which will bring up a fillable form
  • Under "Topic" choose "Trusted Traveler Programs (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, and FAST)"
  • Under "Applicable Issues", choose "Change my name due to marriage/divorce/legal"
  • Under "TTP Programs", choose "Global Entry" - this includes TSA Pre Check
  • Fill in the rest of the information
  • They'll send you an email requesting documents
  • You can send them the N400 certificate or court order for name change and the US passport

How long did it take for them to change your name since you put in the request?

Hi Guys, I have a question.

I can't find my original divorce document from 7 years ago. I have copies though. do I need to have the original for the interview?

I would have to go through the issue of getting it done from my home country again.

Question for those who have either got the oath ceremony notice or have naturalized.

I asked a few people if I can bring 3 guests ( wife + two in-laws) to ceremony. My lawyer said it should say what is/is not allowed on notice. Did anyone have that info on their notice? If so, where?

I have tried contacting my specific field office in Philly and also the USCIS customer service but to no avail
