Updated tracker below. I'm definitely distracted so just holler if I missed something.

@BellaUnion what day did you submit your application? I'd be happy to add you to the tracker.

Personal update: received my passport card a few days ago, and my status updated to supporting documents were sent back. Hoping to get my naturalization certificate back in one piece soon...

In other news our elderly cat passed away on Monday and we're heartbroken. He was 17 and I've had him since before even meeting Colin. He lived on 3 continents and was with us every step of this immigration journey - it was easier for him to move to the US than for me!

Final passport update: I received my naturalization certificate back today. It was in a regular envelope and didn't have a "do not fold" sticker or anything, but besides a bent corner it's in pretty good shape. So with expedited application at the post office, it took 2 weeks + 1 day for my passport to arrive, a couple more days for the passport card to arrive separately (no tracking number), and 3 weeks + 5 days to get my original certificate back.

Thank you for the passport update! That's really not too bad! Fingers crossed over here. And sorry to hear about your cat!

Finally got my interview scheduled for August 8.

Dallas TX

The invite is only for citizenship interview, but not a combo-interview. Does anyone know if I shall still come with my husband and all evidences, so they can convert it into combo-interview?

You absolutely should bring your spouse and be ready for combo.

So the answer is yes.

Though he's not coming to my interview, my lawyer has advised bringing my wife, and when my name is called, tell the officer about the outstanding i-751 and that my wife is here should they want to speak to her (there is nothing on my interview notice letter that states it's a combo interview, even though it was mentioned in the cover letter of the application).

YES!!!!!!  If the spouse does not show up for an I-751 interview, your case, according to USCIS policy, will be denied immediately.  Personally, I was notified only 2 days prior to wife's N-400 interview that it would be a combo interview.....AT DALLAS!!!!

Thanks and good luck to you. You applied 20 days after me, so hopefully you'll hear something v soon. Weirdly, our FO is Santa Ana, but the FO for interview is LA.

My interview was just scheduled as well for Aug 14, also at the LA office. Hopefully you (or your spouse) will be able to take the oath on the same day.

Congratulations! Definitely hoping for same day oath as I need to get passport sorted so I can get back to England asap.

Interview made.

Left home this morning (it takes almost 2 hours with traffic from Round Rock to San Antonio), stop at Bucees in New Braunfels for a brisket and egg taco, then quick lunch and I entered the building half an hour before.

After the checks, I waited in a room and, when they called me, the interview started.

- Are you nervous? No!

- But... you will be answering 10 random questions, aren't you nervous? No!

- Ok, then let's start!

Questions:

- What Lincoln was famous for?

- Who lived in the US before the Europeans arrived?

- What's the capital of the US?

- What is the ocean on the West side?

- Who signed the banktones?

- Who was President during WW1?

I answered well, then they asked me if I was part of a terrorist group etc...

Then they asked me the story of my life. I said: "I brought the tax return of the last 4 years!" "Oh really, wow! Gimme gimme gimme!"

After that the woman told me that everything was fine. She scheduled the oath for June 29, but I am invited to a wedding, so my oath will be on July 1 in San Antonio!

That's it!

DON'T FORGET TO BRING THE COPIES OF YOUR TAX RETURN. THEY REALLY, REALLY LIKE IT!

Hey buddy! I am in Austin as well and just applied for N-400 on 7/7/2024.

How long was between your application date and an interview ?

And for my clarity - history test and language are during this interview, correct ? Anything else they asked besides civics at San Antonio CIS ?
