Hi everyone, I am eligible to submit my N-400 tomorrow March 3. I read that you should wait an additional 24 hrs because you can possibly encounter an error. Is that true? I have everything ready and would love to send it out tomorrow. :)

If your 90 day window opens tomorrow (March 3), then apply on Monday afternoon / evening or better Tuesday. One day isn't going to make much difference in processing time, but will ensure you won't be denied 6 months later due to silly error.

Sounds good, thank you :)

My residence since date is 05/17/19. I was eligible 02/17/24 earliest filing date.

I filed my application on 02/19/24 but it was at night time around 10PM EST so the paperwork acknowledges the submission date as 02/20/24.

Hey all,

I was writing earlier that I applied on February 22nd, in NYC, under 3 year rule and after vawa approved, and did not get any Bio reuse notice, so guess what, 2 days ago the status of the case changed to Actively reviewed by USCIS. And today I just logged in to my Uscis account and checked the Notices, and noticed the Biometrics reuse notice!

So, now my timeline is as follows:

February 22nd - filed N400 online in NYC, receipt notice right away

February 29th - Case status changed to “Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS”

February 29th - Notice of Biometrics reuse appeared under Notices tab

I submitted my application on 02/19 evening at around 10PM EST and all documents show that I submitted my application on February 20, which would be the next day (even though it was submitted on the 19th)

So it looks like they have fixed that issue where people were applying on time, but having their applications rejected a couple years ago for filing too early

I still agree that everyone should just wait at least 24 to 48 hours before filing just to make sure that nothing goes wrong for a silly reason.

Looks like some people in the January tread who applied towards the end of the month got their interviews scheduled. Crossing my fingers for some updates for us in the next couple of weeks!

Anyone tried to connect to the USCIS website today? I have 2-step verification enabled and it didn't ask for a code. Just went straight to my account after entering my password. Not great security-wise...

Oh wow, I had no idea until I saw that in some thread here. Thank you for letting me know. I am so ready to file this, but I'll guess I'll wait another day or two....

@minivatreni I am in Austin, TX. The biometrics will take place in Austin. I don't know about the ceremony, somebody says Austin, somebody says San Antonio, some others say that I could get the citizenship directly after the interview...

I have been married for 5 years. I came to the US on May 2021. I apply 90 days before the three-year period.
