Hey everyone! I filed my application on Feb 27, 2024 (marriage based under 3-year rule). Got scheduled for an interview on May 10, 2024 (FO Indianapolis). I was recommended for approval and the officer told me that I will receive a letter regarding the naturalization ceremony within 1-2 weeks. However, it has exactly been a month and there is no sign of the oath being scheduled. Even my case status on the portal hasn’t moved and is stuck at “Interview Was Scheduled”.

Is this normal? Is anyone else waiting for their oath for more than 4 weeks while their case status is unchanged online?

I just found one filer from my field office in this thread who had their interview one week after me and they have already got their case status updated and oath is scheduled for next month.

I did not have a conditional green card since I applied for permanent residence two years after our wedding while I was in Canada. We are married for almost 7 years.

Yes it’s not normal, maybe the interviewer forgot to actually submit your case for quality review. They have to do that. Mine was updated as soon as I walked out of the interview room.

@Laure&Colin @Duggu @minivatreni Chatted with an agent and they had the generic answer that the officers have 90 days until decision and that my case is still under review, and the status will change once approved.

I guess I will have to wait.

Hm, That makes no sense because the officer told you at the interview they were recommending you for approval, so they should have changed the status to recommended for approval on the website as well!

Hope you hear back soon, hopefully it changes so you can get your oath!

Thank you! The officer even printed a copy of a page for me, saying ‘Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval…’. Hoping to see some movement in the case status soon.

USCIS is a black hole, Its very difficult to time.  Best thing you can do now is wait. If the wait is more than 120 days , you can file WoM . Hopefully it will not come to that and you will hear soon.

I don't think there's much you can do until the 90-day period expires, hopefully things will start moving again sooner than that! IF they don't, I'd call back on day 91 and contact Representative or Senator for help.
