I just completed my N400 interview in Seattle this morning.

There were no oath ceremonies scheduled for the day in the office. At the end of my interview I was given an appointment for the oath on July 4th. However on the drive back home the status online changed from oath scheduled to

Case Was Submitted For Quality Review Based On An Approval Recommendation

We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number, be approved. On May 28, 2024, your case was submitted for quality review. This is a standard process we use to ensure the quality of our decisions. Once our quality review is done you will be scheduled for an oath ceremony.

Hopefully this does not affect the oath ceremony previously scheduled.

Did your spouse had to attend the interview with you?  It looks like you might not have a pending I-751, correct?

I received a 10 year green card since marriage anniversary was over 2 years at time of GC interview. My spouse came to the interview but was not needed to be present.

I thought Seattle field office is usually same day oath?

That is what I thought too but not yesterday, I got into the Seattle office around 7 30 am and there were no oath ceremonies scheduled for the day.

I see.  What time was your scheduled interview and how long did you have to wait until you actually had your interview?  My spouse also has an interview scheduled for 6/25 at the Seattle field office.

I got my ticket at 8:04 am, scheduled for 8:30am and did not sit down until 9:30am. I was not the rule, most people were called within 15 minutes of sitting down, felt a little singled out.

The interview itself was straight forward but lasted about 20-30 minutes.

Ok...N-400 Interview scheduled for 10:15 am today. We were allowed to bring phones into building but had to be turned off in waiting area or not brought into interview. Able to enter building 15 minutes before interview. Went through the scanners...remove belt, watch, bracelet, and keys, and put everything in bins. Super easy to get through security. Big comfy waiting area after checking in for appointment. Saw IO about 15-20 min. after scheduled time. She was very nice and kept things easy and laid back. Brought in 2 massive binders (I-751/amendment binder; and N-400 binder) with all the docs filed and up to date tax returns, etc. The IO liked the prep with the binders and said it was nice to see all the preparation. None of the several people I saw admitted for interviews before I was called brought anything more than a few pieces of paper. She was able to pick the civics questions she wanted to ask me. She skipped over the "Name your U.S. Representative" and I told her "But I know that one!" and she laughed. Basic civics questions, such as "Who is the Chief Justice of the United States," "How many years is a president elected for," Who makes federal laws," and then had to write one sentence she read to me and wrote it on a tablet; nothing complicated; passed the first 6 questions so she didn't need to ask anymore. She confirmed the date of my divorce, current physical address and mailing address, and wanted to know the two people that arrived with me (my mom and boyfriend). She asked a few questions about my boyfriend to ensure I wasn't with my divorced spouse which she said would have put my paperwork in jeopardy. All in all, about 15 minute interview with me asking questions as well. IO said I was approved and would be receiving Oath notice in the mail in a few weeks and Oath ceremony will be at court house in Detroit given I'm changing my name. Very pleasant experience!  About 3 hours after interview, my case was updated online: I-751 approved; N-400 Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled. One more step to go! :dancing:A very big thanks to all the folks here who made this journey so much easier by sharing good intel and helping me to understand the process. You guys ROCK!!!

My interview was scheduled for 7:10 but I didn't get called in until 7:40. I showed up at 6:50.

I think it dependso n the previous cases that the officer handled and how behind they are to be honest (since it appears that each case is physically tied to an officer). I reckon there must've been one or at most two people above me, so the later you are called the more likely you're gonna wait longer. But again, it depends on how complex cases are - mine was done in 15 minutes.

My field office didn't let anyone accompany applicants, except for two I saw assisting elderly or disabled folks. I also saw one lawyer with their client. Otherwise no luck!

I have always been curious: so they can select the civic questions to be asked? I had assumed they had a program that selected them randomly.
