Just chatted with a live agent on Emma and was told this about my spouse's case:

> You are currently in the queue for an interview to be scheduled. USCIS will mail a notice when the date is scheduled.

I asked them how long it'll take and they gave me a generic timeline estimate via the tool

How did you achieve that? I’d assume they’d have said to anyone right now we aren’t outside the window so don’t message us?

My husband's case is still pending interview (submitted 02/17). I already naturalized last week. We are not marriage-based though.

When is his interview? Did u ask the officer about your husband’s case?

does the IO asks Yes/No questions and other personal info questions from N-400 paper copy or from his computer, if n-400 was filed online?

I just started with (after typing "live agent")

Hi, my name is XXX. My case number is XXX. DOB: ..... Address: XXXX..

I'm the petitioner and I'm inquiring about my case's status.

Still no interview scheduled. They said he's in line for scheduling - though that could mean tomorrow or next month. I didn't know I could ask about his case (somebody here did!!) - still bummed about that but I was very sleep deprived that day.

I filed online, and yes the officer asked a few questions about basic info and my last trip (happened after I filed for N400). They worked completely off the computer though they had the massive binder of my file on the table...

If officer asks the yes/no question of citation / arrest , then you can mention it otherwise no need to bring it up.   I downloaded my driving history from California DMV site which I am taking with myself ( I think 2$ or something for immediately download ) which can show what you have on your record or not.

 https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/customer-service/request-vehicle-or-driver-records/online-driver-record-request/

I dont think your husband needs to mention anything if he was not involved in any way. why complicate matter. Others can pitch in.

Thanks for your information🙏

Hi everyone, so i need you guys expert advice on this. So my wife's interview is scheduled to July 3rd, but today her doctor scheduled her for a C-Section delivery for our baby on July 1st.

She tried to change the date with her, but she said she can't due to safety reasons. So we don't know what to do with the appointment now, should we ask to reschedule it? even though we know it will take few more months! (and my wife is trying to travel back to her home country with her mother to help with the kids)

OR should we take our chance that the baby might come earlier to that deadline (just like what happened with our 1st baby) ? I'm honestly confused so please forgive me. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks guys

If I were you, I would ask to reschedule. If you ask now, it might not be that far out from July 3rd which is the original date

Just received notification that an action was taken on hubby's case. His I-751 was approved (will also post in the appropriate group) - just thought I would share here as well. Now we just wait for his N-400 interview.

@Youssuf tough one, I would reschedule. It's probably better to do it now than at the last minute.

@jm06 congrats on having a baby and becoming a citizen on the same day! That was one busy Friday...

@mmv_1 do you have the interview letter in your Documents tab online?

Fingers crossed for @PhoenixNiro and @vamphog who both have their interviews scheduled tomorrow 🤞

Hi, I filed N400 on 3/16 under 5 year rule. Biometrics was reused on the same day. Interview notice was sent on May 15 and interview is scheduled for 6/21.
But I received an email this morning from USCIS saying they took an action on my case. I logged in but don’t see an update in my case.

Is it normal for USCIS to take action like this? or Is this kind of RFE? I am a bit worried. Anyone experienced similar situation? Guide me please. Thanks.

It's normal, sometimes they open your file to look at it

I just completed my N400 interview in Seattle this morning.

There were no oath ceremonies scheduled for the day in the office. At the end of my interview I was given an appointment for the oath on July 4th. However on the drive back home the status online changed from oath scheduled to

Case Was Submitted For Quality Review Based On An Approval Recommendation

We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, Receipt Number, be approved. On May 28, 2024, your case was submitted for quality review. This is a standard process we use to ensure the quality of our decisions. Once our quality review is done you will be scheduled for an oath ceremony.

Hopefully this does not affect the oath ceremony previously scheduled.

I thought Seattle field office is usually same day oath?
