Just got my interview date: 5/15/24 very excited.

A quick question, I have been asked to bring “any evidence of Selective Service Registration” with me to the interview, any idea what exactly it means?

Are you a male between ages 18-26? If yes, you would have had to sign up for selective service. It asked you this as well on your N-400 application.

Hi, no, older. I moved to the US at age 28. What do I do in this case?

Nothing. You bring the proof if it's applicable to you. If it's not, then you disregard.

It seems totally dependent on Field Office. I wish you could check a box agreeing to go to another FO if it's faster, lol! I wouldn't mind going to Sacramento or San Jose and they both seem faster than San Francisco. I'd even go to LA, make it an extended weekend 😂

It’s a good idea, but it complicates matters because ultimately your file would have to be shipped to that field office. I’m sure this would cause a lot of delays and files to get lost if we could choose where it would ship. 😅😅

Is that a physical file ? I thought all documents get scanned and uploaded to the system .

It's a physical file, includes everything you ever submitted to USCIS from the very start. You might see it at the interview. Sometimes people's interviews got cancelled if their file didn't arrive to the location in time (rare).

I haven't moved city since moving to the US so I hope they don't have to ship my files around to much 😅

On the one hand I'm anxious to get my interview. On the other hand my partner has German citizenship and he can't swear in until June 17th. So I hope we get a sweet spot where our interview date isn't too early or too late 🫠
