I’m really hoping he gets scheduled for the July 4th oath ceremony at Seattle Center though - it’s a big event and the photos look awesome.

Interview notices are usually 3-4 weeks out, so if they get a notice of interview now, it's going to be for around the July 4th time, so I'd probably think they won't be scheduled for the July 4th oath. Wish him best of luck though in getting the July 4th oath.

I wonder if any of you have thoughts on this:

 

At my interview on June 4th, I gave the officer evidence of two trips I had booked which meant that I would be out of state for oath ceremonies on June 18th and July 18th (so I probably have to wait for an August date).  Well I have just cancelled my trip to Miami which would have had me out of state today through Tuesday.  Any idea who I might contact to let them know that I am now available if there is any chance of being scheduled for Tuesday?

You're definitely not alone, most people who filed in the 1st half of February are done, but there's plenty still waiting in the 2nd half. It's coming!

Only thing I can think of is the general phone number, or try to upload a letter in your online case? Probably do both.

Thank you - I tried calling and couldn't get through to anyone - I couldn't get past the autobot.  It sent me around in circles, told me to try the website, told me it was going to cut me off if I asked again to speak to an agent, asked me what else it could help me with (I explained twice) - and then cut me off.  So frustrating - no idea how to contact the field office to update the information.  I tried going through some of the 'contact us' options in 'my uscis' but couldn't get through that either as this isn't a cookie cutter question...

Update:  I created a message in word, saved it as a pdf and uploaded it in the 'unsolicited evidence' in documents - there is an option to mark it as applicant correspondence - which I have done.  I don't imagine it will be seen in time, but it was worth a try!

Had my interview in San Antonio today and was approved! Oath on the 21st in San Antonio. I asked to do the oath in Austin and they said no lol. Oh well.

Left home this morning (it takes almost 2 hours with traffic from Round Rock to San Antonio), stop at Bucees in New Braunfels for a brisket and egg taco, then quick lunch and I entered the building half an hour before.

 

After the checks, I waited in a room and, when they called me, the interview started.

 

- Are you nervous? No!

- But... you will be answering 10 random questions, aren't you nervous? No!

- Ok, then let's start!

 

Questions:

- What Lincoln was famous for?

- Who lived in the US before the Europeans arrived?

- What's the capital of the US?

- What is the ocean on the West side?

- Who signed the banktones?

- Who was President during WW1?

 

I answered well, then they asked me if I was part of a terrorist group etc...

 

Then they asked me the story of my life. I said: "I brought the tax return of the last 4 years!" "Oh really, wow! Gimme gimme gimme!"

 

After that the woman told me that everything was fine. She scheduled the oath for June 29, but I am invited to a wedding, so my oath will be on July 1 in San Antonio!

 

That's it!

Thanks. Interview was very smooth and the officer was very friendly. He started with the civic questions, i got the first 6 right so he stopped there. Then he asked me to read a sentence from the tablet in front of me. The sentence was “how many senators are there”. Then he asked me to write on the tablet “there are one hundred senators”. After that he moved on to the n400 application. Questions he asked me from the application were “whats my ssn” “what is my height” “where is my spouse from” “what is my spouse name”. Then he went on to the yes/no questions from the n400. We then signed at the end. He told me to wait outside as i will he called at the window to get my oath ceremony letter. Oath ceremony letter was issued and will be at the same SA field office.
