Wendy,

You can never tell unfortunately. The best thing you can do it give it 2 days then call DOS to see where they are with Admin Review.

Do people from Jordan not go through AP like the rest of us? Or is it a quick type thing like for those in Morocco (generally that is I know a few do take longer over there).

Are the tickets the type that you'd pay a penalty if you had to change them? That was very brave to buy them in advance!!! Hope it all works out for you!

Im not sure about the tickets...I was very luck to have gotten these as all flights till Sept 9 were totally filled... I will have to call the guy tomorrow and ask about insurance ect and changing them if needed?

Wendy,

If you want to know the status of your AP, DOS is the only place to call the embassy will not help you. My husband went through amman also. Interviewed on a Thursday, by friday DOS was giving me a status. I don't have the number offhand, but it's been posted in previous thread. When I called they went as far to tell me he was "half" through.

The other thing to consider is unless your hubby left his passport with the embassy, it can take a week just for him to aramex his passport to the embassy and for them to send it back to him (once he is all cleared). Just to back yourself up, I would call the airline to check if there are any penalties.

I went through 5 1/2 months of AP. Mandolin 68 went through 3 or 4 I think. I don't think there is any embassy quite as bad as the one in Cairo, not in MENA anyway but Amman does do its fair share of AP.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.
